Intro

When re-configuring or repairing a Spotter + Smart Mooring it will be necessary to clean, disconnect, prepare, reconnect and test the electrical and mechanical connection points on the system. This guide will show you how to do this step-by-step for Spotter v3 and Smart Mooring version 2.

Tools/Consumables Needed

Bio-fouling cleaning

Before beginning, clean up as much bio-fouling as possible. Using a stiff brush or toothbrush with a mild bleach solution will work for smaller and more sensitive areas. Clean with freshwater afterwards.

For larger areas a pressure washer can also work.

Cleaner surfaces will be more resistant to accumulating new growth.
