Spotter saves data onto its on-board SD card in CSV files. The filename format is:
<log_session_id>_<file_type>.CSV
Files are split into numbered "log sessions" to limit the maximum size of individual files and minimize the damage of any file corruption.
This document describes the files and formats saved by Spotter on its SD card. An open-source SD card parsing script is also provided for reference. This script shows an example of how to concatenate log sessions, apply phase correction to time-domain displacement signals, and post-process.

An SST Spotter in default logging configuration will generate ~11MB of data per day on the SD card ⇒ 4GB per year. However, certain states like errors or a heavily depleted battery can significantly increase logging volume, so this rate is not guaranteed.
Smart Mooring data will add to this logging volume based on the connected nodes and sampling configuration. For reference, a default 10 sec /60 sec subsample continuous sampling (2) x SOF.T configuration will produce an additional ~2.5MB of log data per day.
The SD card shipped with the Spotter has a capacity of 16GB.
With default logging configuration, Spotter will log 6 file types:
SYS - general system info logging.
LOC - 1-minute time series of geographic coordinates.
FLT - 2.5Hz filtered X/Y/Z wave displacement.
