A Spotter can only be registered to and owned by one account. Once a Spotter has been registered to an account, you cannot register it to another one. Contact Sofar Support for help sharing a Spotter with another account or transferring its ownership to a different account.

If you haven’t registered any Spotters to your account yet, click the Register Spotter button ****in the Spotter panel in the Map View. Otherwise, select Register Spotter ****from the Dashboard menu.

Enter the Spotter ID and the activation code.
Click Register.

Your Spotter is now registered to your account! The complimentary account balance funds and satellite credits included in your Remote Access Package will have been added to your account automatically, as long as you registered your Spotter to your account within a year of purchase.
If this was your first time registering a Spotter to your account, your data subscription will be activated and a new billing cycle will be established. If you already had an active data subscription when you registered this Spotter to your account, your new Spotter’s telemetry line(s) will be enabled and added to your existing data subscription. You will only be charged a prorated fee for the days in the billing period that the new Spotter’s telemetry line(s) are enabled.
Once you turn on the Spotter, it will typically take 1-1.5 hours for it to show up in the Dashboard map for the first time. Make sure it has an active telemetry line (see Change your telemetry lines) and a clear view of the sky with minimal obstruction so it can establish a GPS signal. If you turn on your Spotter indoors, it will not be able to connect.
