The Spotter Dashboard ****is your hub for everything Spotter. From the Dashboard, you can:

• register and configure your Spotter(s) remotely
• monitor Spotter system health and status
• view and download real-time and historical data for custom date ranges
• track your Spotter’s position
• set and manage timefence, geofence, and sensor alert email notifications
• manage your device telemetry
• manage your data subscription and satellite credits
• view your billing history
• access your API token and set up delivery endpoints
• customize your display preferences (e.g., time zone, units)

In this guide, you’ll learn how to access the Spotter Dashboard, how to set up and log into an account, how to register a Spotter to your account, and how to navigate the Spotter Dashboard.

Accessing your account

Creating your account

To create your account, open the Spotter Dashboard and click Don’t have an account? Sign Up under the Sign In button.

Fill out your contact and location info and then select a username (at least 5 characters and not an email address) and a password. To finalize your account, confirm that you adhere to Sofar’s Privacy Policy ****and Terms of Use, and click Sign up.

You will be redirected to the Map View.

Your account details can be reviewed and updated at any time. Just click the menu icon ☰ in the top-right corner and then select Account. If you want to edit anything, click the corresponding pencil icon and then hit Update to save your changes.

Logging in to your account

To log in to the Spotter Dashboard, open the Spotter Dashboard, enter your email or username and password, and click Sign In.

You will be redirected to the Map View.

Your Dashboard authentication session will last for 30 days. After that, you will need to login again.

Registering your Spotter

To be able to see and manage a Spotter in the Dashboard, you will need to register it to your account:

1. If you haven’t registered any Spotters to your account yet, click the Register Spotter button ****in the Spotter panel in the Map View. Otherwise, click the menu icon ☰ in the top-right corner and then click Register Spotter.

   

2. Enter the Spotter ID (above the barcode ****on top of your Spotter) and the **activation code (**emailed to you and printed on the accessory box shipped with your Spotter system), then click Register.
