An active data subscription enables remote communication between your Spotter device and the Spotter Dashboard/API. Subscriptions are billed monthly and apply to the entire Spotter account, covering all devices linked to that account.
Without an active subscription, your Spotter will continue to operate normally and store all collected data locally on its SD card. However, the following functions will not be available:
You can view, manage, and renew your subscription at any time in the Payment Settings page on your Spotter Dashboard.
Multiple subscription options are available to support different device types and telemetry sources.

Spotter subscriptions are composed of one or more recurring “line items.” These enable remote data transmission and are shared across your account.
| Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Cellular Line | Enables a device to transmit/receive data using terrestrial cellular networks, when available. |
| Satellite Line | Enables satellite communication for deployments outside cellular coverage. |
| Satellite Credits | Consumable credits representing one satellite message each. A satellite-connected device consumes one credit per transmitted message. |
